Vaish Associates Public Welfare Trust
The Public Welfare Trust was founded by Mr. O. P. Vaish, Senior Advocate in 1985.
The Trust was formed with an objective to provide for the education, health and nutrition of women and children. The Trust aims -
- To support education of the underprivileged children through Pre-school Education, Scholarship Schemes and Teacher Training.
- To provide preventive and curative health care facilities to the underprivileged individuals and community.
- To support programs for women’s health and empowerment.
- To provide support to women, adolescents and community at large by undertaking community focused sustainable development activities.
- To generate awareness and motivate the community to take up projects related to conservation of the environment.
- To enrich civil society through building attitude of gratitude.
The various programmes of the Trust are located in four slum areas on the outskirts of Delhi in Mehrauli. The inhabitants at ‘Pahadi’, ‘Jaunapur’, ‘Rampat (Farm)’, ‘Bhimbasti’ and ‘Shanticamp’, belong to different socio-cultural and economic backgrounds.
The Trust is supported by both Vaish Associates, Advocates, Vaish & Associates Chartered Accountants and the family and friends of the founder.
The entire team at Vaish & Associates, Chartered Accountants including Ranjana Agarwal who is the Life Trustee and Treasurer of the Trust is conscious of its responsibility towards the less privileged and marginalized section of the society.
The firm has been actively supporting the initiative. Volunteers give their time and financial support to specific projects and programmes of their choice.
